Christmas 2013

So once again, because we had a newborn this Christmas we got out of traveling. Actually, we haven't gotten out of the house except to the doctor's office. I'm kinda going stir crazy but I know its best for Riley!

The first round of Christmas was when Chase's mom came up to help after Riley was born.

My ENTIRE family, the Rigney side anyway, came up the weekend before Christmas! They came Friday night and left Sunday. No, not everyone stayed here, we would have been sleeping on top of each other!! Katie and Jody stayed here and the rest of the family stayed at a hotel in Mt Juliet.

They came by Friday afternoon, very briefly, to say hello and drop off the food for Saturday and then off they went to Opryland Hotel to check out the lights.

Saturday was Christmas with the Rigney family. Brunch and family time. I've honestly gotten to the point in my life that gifts are not important. I enjoy the time we get to spend together and the memories that are made in the process! One of my New Year's Resolutions is going to be take more pictures and actually get them off the camera and printed and into photo albums!!

Gavin LOVES books and will sit with anyone who will read to him. He has been known to bring me a book while I am on my iPad, point to the iPad and tell me to turn it off, and climb into my lap so I can read to him...I can never resist!

Gavin got a new Bear Chair from his great aunt Missy and her family. He is quite the fan!

Will and Claire had to play games with Emory.

The boys decided that the cocktail ottoman needed to be fixed "right now" so off they went...Dad, Jody, and Tripp all joined Chase in case he needed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinion. Gavin was most distraught when he was left behind but quickly forgave when he got to "help" daddy!

Christmas morning was so relaxed this year because we didn't have to rush to get ready and head out of town. Plus our kids sleep late even on Christmas morning. Emory and Gavin didn't wake up until 9 and Riley slept until 10 (of course that was after being up for 2 hours during the night).

Gavin was in Heaven with all his new cars and ramp toy!

Best we could get!

Cherise the moments they play well together!

Happy, Happy, Happy

The living room was a mess but for once I didn't care!

She was so excited about her chore chart!

She has asked to play t-ball this year so we got her and chase gloves so they could practice.

My girls!!

This was how Riley spent most of Christmas morning!

This was a hard picture to get!

Merry Christmas from our family of five to yours!!
