Rock Island

Our most recent adventure was to Rock Island. It is in the same general area as Burgess Falls, near Cookville, TN. Again it took us about an hour to get there and we stayed for about 4 hours and hiked 2 separate trails...one slightly more than we expected and another more our speed!

This is my view while hiking. I can be easily distracted by this cute face!

The girls.

Little fall on our first trail.

This was the trail that was slightly more than we expected. Old Caney fork gorge trail

It took some clever hiking to get to this point, but we got there.

She is such a good little hiker.

Overview of the gorge. The siren started sounding as we were leaving. It was a warning to let us know that they had opened the flood gates.

Twin Falls.  The beginning of our second trail.

"Little Falls" on the Twin Falls trail.

The top of Little Falls had a cave of sorts...Chase is lifting Emory up...

Little man was exhausted...poor thing!
This park had quite a few trails so we may be back to try a few more. Have I said how much I enjoy this family time?!?!
