Nashville Bound

Well, for the weekend at least. In early December we took a family trip to Nashville. Chase had business with the 3 branches in the area, so we decided to tag along. It was so nice to be back and see everyone, go to our church, and eat at all our favorite places!

This was the most effective way to get Gavin through the airport. He didn't want to be in the stroller so we made it fun by riding the luggage!

We flew this trip since Chase's flight was going to be paid for. While the closet airport is an hour away from us, it was nice to only have the 3-4 hour trip total vs a 10 hour drive. It was Gavin's first time to fly and he did great...if you ask me, Chase has a different opinion because he was sitting by him! Haha!

We arrived Wednesday night and went straight from the airport to meet friends for dinner. We tried seeing everyone we possibly could while we were there and still missed so many people! Next time we will have to stay longer!

On the agenda...

1) Pictures with Robyn...

 

 

Chase couldn't be there this time so it was just me and the kids. There was a break in the rain just long enough for us to get great pictures but it left the venue very muddy! I knew we would need to take the 3 kids together and then Gavin before moving onto Riley's one year pictures. Why, you ask?! Mud + Gavin + his lack of coordination = the above picture! Not 5 seconds after we finished taking his pictures, he fell in to mud, and not long after that he found this puddle and had a grand time! Robyn got amazing pictures of doing what boys to best...getting messy! I had to wash those pants 5 times before I was able to get them wearable again!!  

 

2) Santa Live at TBF...

 



Poor baby girl. Every kid has one right?!?! Emory has 3 years that look like this! Gavin just wanted the candy cane!

3) Seeing our neighbors and our old house...

 

 

 





4) Hanging out with the best friends we could ask for and having an impromptu birthday party for Riley...

To say I miss these girls would be a huge understatement!! It was so wonderful to see them and pretend for a few hours that we don't live 10 hours away! :(

5) Spend time with some of our first friends from Nashville...

These kids have all been friends from birth. We miss them (and their parents) A LOT!

We spent the night with the Lees the 4 nights we were in Nashville. We are so very thankful for friends that allow us to invade their home and let us spread out versus being cramped in a hotel room with 5 people!

 



6) Go to church at the best church we've been a part of...The Bridge Fellowship. We considered going to all 3 services so we could get our fill. I miss that place and it's people!!

 

 

We were asked many times how we are enjoying our time in NC. Our response was "well, we would have told you great until we came here!" There are so many things we miss about Nashville, but I can tell you we DO NOT miss the traffic!! It was a wonderful trip and hard to leave but it's always nice to be home and sleep in your own bed.
