Sunday night I didn't get much sleep. I'm talking MAYBE 1.5 hours. Amanda got in Sunday evening and we had a lot to catch up on and I still had a few loose ends to tie up before leaving Monday morning! We woke Emory up at 4am, got her ready for "school" and then made our confession...Disney was on the agenda for today, not school!
To have been woken up 3 hours early, she was quite the chatter box! I guess you could say she was excited!! We were too! That might have contributed to my lack of sleep! Mommy and daddy needed coffee and LOTS of it!
She wanted to take a picture next to the Snow White statue at the airport.
Our flight left Raleigh at 6:05 and landed at 7:45. While it was an early flight, it gave us a full day for the parks. Plus we got to see the sun rise from 38,000 feet!
Epcot was on the agenda after checking into the hotel. There wasn't much involved in that process.
We had to activate our Magicbands, which are our tickets, fast passes, meal plan, room key, and charge card. They are pretty awesome! Kinda creepy they way they work but awesome none the less.
We arrived at Epcot around 10am, not long after the park opened, took our picture in front of the big golfball, otherwise known as Spaceship Earth, grab a picture with our first character siting, and set off for our scheduled fast passes. After riding a ride or two we headed to our first and probably most important, character lunch...Akershus. This meant princesses, ALL the old school, classic princesses!
First was Belle, my personal favorite. We got a complimentary picture and "picture frame" with her. The other princesses all walked around while we ate lunch. She was our first princess to see and our first of MANY signatures!
The best part for Chase and I was watching her excitement! We had to keep reminding her to actually eat! This was her "I get to go on a parade with all the princesses?!" face!
After lunch was more rides and taking in a few sites of Epcot. We didn't get to do much of the World Showcase, only Norway because of our lunch. They have transformed that country into the land of Frozen. Apparently they will be adding a small ride in the future.
Our evening was spent at Magic Kingdom and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party.

Our first stop was The Pirates League to get ready for the Halloween party.

It was fun watching her be the center of attention. And she LOVED getting to wear makeup! I have a feeling this will be a point of contention later down the road.
The Halloween party was awesome! Yes the decorations were cool and all the costumes, but the best part was walking on to the rides like Space Mountain (which we road twice back to back) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Emory's first real roller coaster)! Anyone who knows Emory would tell you she is slightly timid. Apparently though, she did in fact inherit her daddy's adventurous gene, we just had to find the right fit...roller coaster! During her first ride, the part I was sure would scare her only produced giggles! She loved it! We honestly thought we would be taking her on kicking and screaming but she has been a champ! As you can see in this picture, she looks terrified! :)
We ended the night the best way possible...
Anna and Elsa!!!! And our wait was only 45 minutes! People have been waiting HOURS to see those two!
We shut down Magic Kingdom Monday night, finally making it back to our resort at 1. Didn't make it to our room until 2 because our room number was sent via text to my phone at 3 that afternoon and my phone died! Now you know why it was the longest day ever!! Waking up at 3am (after very little sleep) and finally making it to bed around 2:30am, pretty sure I was on complete adrenaline!
What an awesome day! Bring on Animal Kingdom for day two!
