Father's Day Weekend 2009

Chase of course got to call the shots this weekend, since it his "day" after all and so we headed down to Jacksonville, AL to spend some time with his family. We didn't leave until Friday evening so we arrived late Friday night. It took us a little longer then usual because we were trailering the 4 wheeler his parents bought last weekend during their visit. Not to mention about halfway there we had to stop for gas and Chase realized that the strap holding the 4 wheeler in the front, had been cut rubbing on the trailer! He drove a lot more slowly and stopped to check the straps more often after that.

Friday when we arrived. Emory wasn't quite ready to go back to sleep.

Saturday morning Chase had to opportunity to ride motorcycles with his brother. They woke up insanely early and rode for a couple of hours. Forrest has a Harley and a crotch rocket. Late Saturday afternoon we went to take the 4 wheeler to the lake house and then set off for High Falls. Basically, High Falls is a big waterfall that people jump off. Chase and I have been once together and he has been wanting to go back ever since. We had a great time. I did not jump but Chase and Fritz did a few times. Meanwhile the rest of us swam in the river. Truly God's Country...it was beautiful!!

It was a LONG way!

Sunday was a typical lazy day with a wonderful meal and then a LONG drive home. We had a great time but are happy to be back home.
